We will have two graduate teaching assistantships (TAs) available for a fall 2027 start. Studio TAs assist with applied lessons and Tuba-Euphonium Ensemble as well as a wide variety of studio logistics.
Currently, most performance GAs are 0.25 FTE (average 10 hours/week), and the 2026-2027 stipend is $9,547 for the year. Master’s students receive a tuition waiver for 9 credit hours per semester (fall/spring only). Doctoral students receive a tuition waiver for 9-12 credit hours per semester, (fall/spring only).
All graduate applicants are automatically considered for graduate assistantships - there is no separate application to be a TA or GA in the College of Music. Applicants with additional relevant skills outside of performance and teaching should include those in their application and their CV in order to be considered for assistantship opportunities outside of the studio.
